Slime

Slime is one of those things you either love or hate it. Each slime recipe is different and can take some practice to perfect, but this one seems to be a winner with my fussy 4 year-old; Its messy, yet not too gross! It is quick to make and so far, it has proven to be a no-fail recipe. Winning!

Please note: Borax is a cleaning product and recommended out of reach of children. It is NOT to be consumed.

Steps

  1. Dissolve ¼ tsp of Borax powder into ½ cup of warm water in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. In another bowl mix half a cup of PVA glue with ½ cup water until well mixed. We found using a whisk was most effective.
  3. This step is optional: Add food colouring, glitter or confetti to the glue/water mixture to individualize your slime.
  4. Pour borax/water mixture into glue/water mixture and stir. It should come together quickly and look lumpy and stringy.
  5. Remove the stringy, lumpy bits from the bowl and spend some time kneading it together. Don’t worry of you have left over liquid borax mixture.
  6. Play with your slime! Stretch, ooze, squish and have loads of fun!
  7. Store your slime in an airtight container and keep out of reach of small children!
