Activities to have Fun, Learn and Create
Nature and Outdoor
Nature experiences are those that involve the natural world around us. These experiences allow children to investigate and explore ideas, whilst increasing their knowledge of and their appreciation for the world they live in. Allowing opportunities for children to engage with nature helps children to recognise that there are other living and non-living and that we can have an impact in our world.
Outdoor experiences are those that are generally conducted in an outdoor or larger play setting. They typically involve children using their larger muscles in their bodies (gross motor development), but are not limited to this. Some experiences are purely more suited to an outdoor area where there is more space for movement, creative expression and where clean-up is more manageable.
