- Using the Stanley knife, cut the bottom off your plastic bottle. Most plastic bottles have a clear line at the bottom. I used this as my guide of where to cut. This should only be done by adults only for safety reasons.
- Pull your sock over the end of your bottle where you just cut. Make sure your sock is nice and snug on the end. Long socks work best!
- Pour some water into a bucket or bowl and add a swirl of dishwashing liquid and gently mix together
- Dip your plastic bottle (sock end), into the mixture.
- Gently blow from the other end of the bottle (the mouth piece end) and watch the cluster of bubbles grow!
- Repeat steps above and have loads of fun!

Activity Notes
The first time I did this activity I just used a normal water bottle and larger soda bottle, however I have since discovered pop top lids make a great mouth piece for children. Most of these lids fit on regular plastic bottles, so next time you have one, save it! It makes it that much easier for the children to blow their bubbles.
